Dream in which an enormous spindly spider creeps down the wall toward me. Even in the near darkness of the room I can detect its metallic sheen. "It was forged in the extreme cold of pre-fork Time," the voice tells me.
Posted by Alan at July 19, 2005 11:12 AMOnce, after a long night in studio, I saw a spider climbing the wall behind a professor that I was talking to. I reached past my professor and tried to gently grab the spider by one of his legs, only to find that there wasn't actually a spider there. Professor asked, "Are you okay?" I blushed, said, "I'm going to bed," and schlepped back to Selleck.

While we're swapping spider stories, here's one. Back in Missouri I had this old pair of mowing shoes I'd leave out in the rain. Once, after a particularly long hiatus, I went out to mow & almost put them on...I had my toes in...then decided I'd better shake out the shoes just in case. The biggest brown recluse I've ever seen dropped out.
